Our Favorite Industrial, Warehouse Chicago Wedding Venues

Rockwell on the River

If you’re looking for that warehouse feel for a large wedding, Rockwell on the River is definitely a great place to start! The inside of the venue really has room to make this space your own with draping and other customizations. We often see Art of Imagination or MDM Entertainment in this venue really dressing up the space uniquely to your vision, but there are also multiple other exclusive decor and production vendors that can help make your day your own.

What we love about Rockwell on the River: Many couples really love the outdoor patio that is great for cocktail hour with the string lights and the river access. This is a great spot for photos as well as the brick, ivy walls right outside!

  • Maximum capacity: 500 seated comfortably, 650 seated

  • In-house catering: Preferred caterers on list, exclusive bar vendor

  • Phone: 773-395-1808

Bridgeport Art Center

There really is something to be said about the architecture of Bridgeport Art Center! They have two main spaces - the Skyline Loft and the Sculpture Garden, and each of them have amazing features to offer. They are also great for large guest counts and really is a great show-stopper!

What we love about Bridgeport Art Center: The Sculpture Garden is a covered outdoor space for your ceremony and cocktail hour that is probably the most beautiful spot in the city - the natural lighting is so light and airy! We also love that they can project photos and other things on the walls as the guests enter - you really have room to make it customized with this industrial space! We also love that they have ample parking so you and your guests don’t have to worry about a thing.

  • Maximum capacity: Skyline Loft = 500 guests, Sculpture Garden = 300+ guests

  • In-house catering: Preferred caterers on list, exclusive bar vendor

Wildman BT

Wildman BT is definitely one of our favorite wedding venues in Chicago and we feature it on our blogs all the time, because it really is a top-notch experience. We love the staff and the feel, the incredibly spacious upstairs wedding suite, and the natural lighting throughout the whole venue.

What we love about Wildman BT: Our personal favorite part of this space that we always tell couples is how seamless the room flip is with their blue velvet curtain that separates the space. It’s totally worth having the ceremony onsite and seeing the space transform for your dinner! Then after dinner is finished, having the dance floor on the cocktail hour side with all the curtains open allows for guests to still be a part of the action at a distance at the dinner tables or their ample lounge furniture.

  • Maximum capacity: 300 guests for ceremony, 400 guests for a seated dinner

  • In-house catering: Preferred caterers on list

  • Phone: 312-248-2828

City Hall Events

City Hall Events is definitely a space to be remembered with the massive marble bar and the large floral wall! The natural lighting from all of the windows really helps give this space some life and at night the multiple forms of lighting really help give it a romantic glow.

What we love about City Hall Events: What’s really the important thing about this space is that you really don’t have to dress it up much as opposed to many of the other industrial buildings in Chicago - the statement full-length floral wall really makes up for a lot of the feel and the long tables are great as a stand-alone feature with only needing some candles!

  • Maximum capacity: 300 guests for a seated dinner

  • In-house catering: Preferred caterers on list

  • Phone: 312-801-1181

Ovation

Ovation Chicago is one of the three venues owned by Spencer Lokken and this one is a dream come true for the industrial couple. This space has it all with the private wedding suite and game room, but something really cool about this space is that you can use their in-house Rolls Royce to ride around for photos!

What we love about Ovation: Ovation has a lot of features that you don’t get with other venues, like the in-house DJ from Style Matters, a photo booth with printed strips, and the huge projector wall with in-house graphic design for things like your seating chart, photos of you, or after party information. We also appreciate how seamless the room flip is in this space with the curtain that wraps around the full reception space.

  • Maximum capacity: 200 guests for seated reception

  • In-house catering: Open catering and BYOB

  • Phone: 773-278-3467

Ignite Glass Studio

Ignite Glass Studios has an iconic outdoor spot pictured above, but the grays and whites of the reception space is perfect for the warehouse feel you are looking for for your wedding. We love this space because of how unique it is for your guests - when you walk in, you get the full view of all of the amazing glass-blown pieces this space creates!

What we love about Ignite Glass Studio: We absolutely love their rooftop if you want more outdoor space other than the iconic glass art wall on the first floor. The most unique thing about this space is that during cocktail hour you can have demonstrations for you and your guests to see the glass blown in real time! You can also have glass favors made or use if for your unity ceremony. You surely won’t have anything like it at any other wedding venues!

  • Maximum capacity: 220 guests

  • In-house catering: Preferred caterers on list

  • Phone: 312-465-2389

Morgan’s on Fulton

Morgan’s on Fulton is definitely the wedding venue for you if you love a glass, rooftop space. Morgan’s on Fulton is such a perfect place for your guests that want to party - every wedding we have done here always has every guest on the dance floor which we love to see!

What we love about Morgan’s on Fulton: There’s a restaurant bar area that’s on the first floor which is a great place for your guests to hang out if needed! We of course love that the glass ceiling can be opened or closed depending on the weather - it’s great when it’s open but it’s still beautiful when it’s closed.

  • In-house catering: Yes

  • Phone: 312-374-3686

    Fairlie

Fairlie is becoming a more all-inclusive venue but we surely wanted to add this in case you love the brick walls and the staircase! They have an in-house caterer, DJ, and wedding planner.

What we love about Fairlie: There’s a lot of space on the second floor with two wedding suites that’s great for getting ready and hanging out before the ceremony, and the curtains that are placed strategically around the whole space are great for facilitating a room flip.

  • Maximum capacity: 250 guests for a seated dinner

  • In-house catering: Yes

  • Phone: 312-622-1152

Lacuna Lofts

Lacuna Lofts is surely one of our favorite wedding venues in Chicago that we surely couldn’t leave off this list. There are two main spaces for the events to take place: La Galleria and Reverie Gallery. There’s also a smaller space that is often used for cocktail hour called Magik Street that works well for a backup if you can’t use the Skydeck!

What we love about Lacuna Lofts: The best part about this venue is the Skydeck - the venue itself is in Pilsen, which means it’s pulled away enough from the city that you have the most perfect Chicago skyline as your backdrop for the ceremony and cocktail hour up there! We also love how unique this wedding venue is with the murals and art throughout the entire space - it’s surely a space that doesn’t need much customization because it’s so lovely on its own!

  • Maximum capacity: Reverie Gallery = 350 guests seated, La Galleria = 150 seated with the dance floor, Skydeck = 200+

  • In-house catering: Yes

  • Phone: 312-909-4518
