Galleria Marchetti in Chicago, Illinois

Galleria Marchetti is the perfect, Italian-style venue for any size wedding in Chicago. There are two main spaces - the Pavilion (which has the Courtyard for an outdoor ceremony space) and the Pergola, which can host a ceremony and reception with a room flip. The Pergola has a glass ceiling that can be opened if the weather is nice and the Pavilion has plenty of windows that make it still feel open, but what really give it that Italian or European feeling is the tiled floors and the two rooms that are offered for the cocktail hour or for your guests to mingle outside of the regular spaces. You definitely have to see it for yourself - we think that this style really matches that European style of the Cuneo Mansion that will be the perfect alternative for a wedding venue.
What we love about Galleria Marchetti: The space itself is stunning, but what really stands out to us is how insanely fast the food service always is here. You are absolutely going to have the fastest dinner in the whole state, no matter how many guests you have! They are incredibly good at service in general here and that’s why we recommend them for so many of our couples looking for a wedding venue in Chicago. We also appreciate that each space has their own wedding suites and places to store your personal items.

The Armour House in Lake Forest, Illinois

The Armour House is such a cool venue that really transports you out of Illinois and into another state or country even. By day, the space is a private high school and it is so cool to walk the grounds and the space. They have worked really hard at Armour House to restore and preserve this building and the 170 acres as it was in 1982. They have an in-house catering team that is dedicated to the space and providing a wonderful service for your wedding day. The Great Hall and all of the rooms in the building have photos of what it looked like when it was a home and it looks identical to how it did in the past.
What we love about Armour House: The Italian marble, the grand staircase, and the fountain indoors and outdoors are great places for photos and for florals. We absolutely love the indoor space, but the outdoor courtyard for a wedding ceremony is truly iconic with the long, grassy center aisle. So many of the spots look just like the outdoor space of the Cuneo Mansion and we definitely think it’s worth checking out.

Venuti’s in Addison, Illinois

Venuti’s is in the western suburbs and it is a perfect place for an Italian-inspired, fairytale wedding. With it also being an Italian restaurant, you are sure to get amazing food and service! There are private wedding rooms, an outdoor space great for photos, and a lovely experience overall.
What we love about Venuti’s Banquet Hall & Italian Restaurant: The part that really reminds us of the Cuneo Mansion here is the grand ballroom. The tile gives it a real European-style and the yellow walls definitely bring our minds to the Cuneo Mansion too, and if you find yourself in the venue you absolutely need a photo at the grand staircase they have here in the palazzo.

Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois

Cantigny Park is perfect for an outdoor space with a lot of variety for photos. While many people get a photo permit and only come for their wedding photos, Cantigny Park hosts many beautiful and amazing weddings too. They have 3 different outdoor ceremony locations and 2 different reception spaces onsite, and the place is so large that you wouldn’t even know all of the events happening onsite!
What we love about Cantigny Park: There are so many things already included in the package, you really are getting an experience that is all set and ready for you! We also think the mansion onsite is a lovely backdrop for photos just like Cuneo Mansion has too. It’s definitely worth checking out this amazing space and seeing all that they have to offer for your wedding day!

Ravisloe Country Club in Homewood, Illinois

One of our favorite wedding venues in Illinois is the perfect replacement for the Cuneo Mansion! Ravisloe Country Club has truly the most beautiful, iconic, outdoor ceremony space that really transports you to Europe with the style and feel. There are large, private getting ready rooms for both parties and many people like to spend their whole day onsite because there are so many opportunities for photos too.
What we love about Ravisloe Country Club: Besides the absolutely iconic ceremony space, the reception room is really unique because everything is all black, white, and gold. This makes it really easy to have an elegant, black-and-white wedding theme, or add in color to really make it pop and feel extra special! There’s also a hotel that is super local with only a 3 minute drive from the venue that our couples really appreciate.

Stan Mansion in Chicago, Illinois

Another great wedding venue that is really similar to the Cuneo Mansion by Loyola is Stan Mansion in Chicago. The ballroom feels very similar to the colors of the curtains and walls to the warm tones they have throughout the space. The Versailles-inspired structure and the unique decor really tells a story without having to dress it up much either!
What we love about Stan Mansion: The unique layout of the space really makes a unique experience for your guests without being too confusing. We think that your guests will really enjoy being able to explore the building and celebrate your love!! We absolutely love how the curtains really transform the space too.

Colvin House

This quaint, intimate mansion has so many features we love. There are 3 getting ready rooms onsite, and you can’t help but notice the vintage style with the patterns and decor throughout the space. The Cuneo Mansion is of course a mansion so that is similar, but we also think that the vintage vibe of both buildings lends itself well to being a worthy replacement of The Cuneo Mansion.
What we love about Colvin House: One thing that’s really unique about the space is the 1920s-inspired basement speakeasy that is perfect for a swanky-yet-bespoke vibe for the day. There are also plenty of parking options which you can’t say about every venue in Chicago! Our personal favorite part though is the fenced outdoor courtyard - you can use it for your ceremony or just for some really great photos away from the party!
