We wanted to update this wedding feature with more information about one of our favorite wedding venues in the Chicago area because we know that couples are searching for places to find as much information as possible for their wedding day. We are hoping with our experience and knowledge of the wedding industry and about this venue that we can help guide couples to best discern between wedding venues that matches their needs best.

As a Chicago day-of wedding coordinator that has worked more than 150 weddings in Chicago and the Chicago suburbs, we know which venues are actually worth looking into and offer things that couples actually want for their wedding. We have been in so many different wedding venues and we have to say one of our favorite Chicagoland suburb wedding venues is surely Bolingbrook Golf Club if you’re looking for a banquet hall that actually has a great space and great backdrop for photos. We know that it may seem as simple as just choosing the golf club with the location closest to where you’re looking, but there are so many features about Bolingbrook Golf Club weddings that we absolutely love.

The Space

Bolingbrook Golf Club is a 76,000 square foot clubhouse (that doesn’t even include the grounds for photos!) that we absolutely adore. The wedding venue is 40 minutes southwest of Chicago if you’re looking to stay relatively local to the city but it has all of the perks of a suburb wedding venue that would make it worth your time. There is plenty of parking and from start to finish you will have plenty of room to veg out as needed too!

There are plenty of options depending on your guest count that will make it easy to accommodate large or small groups. You can have anywhere from 30 to 800 guests without compromising your vision for the day!

The lobby where you first enter the building is welcoming with things like the two-story, stone fireplace and the lounge seating, and it’s easy to navigate with the main hall to the left, the offices to the right, and the coat check practically straight ahead so your guests know exactly where to go.

There are 2 wedding suites that are pretty large and make it easy to be onsite from start to finish for your wedding if you please. They have their own amenities too such as private bathrooms, a small wet bar area, TVs, games, and even a shower!

The first location you can have your outdoor wedding ceremony at is the Rose Garden Patio that most couples tend to love. It's right to the right of the clubhouse itself so it’s the most easy location for your guests to navigate. You can host up to 300 guests in this patio space and we love how beautiful this space is with the fountains and lake!

The second outdoor ceremony location is actually on the golf course too. The Green is where you would have your guests guided to the back of the venue and overlook such beautiful grounds.

The cocktail hour is through the main lobby of the clubhouse with a pre-function Grand Foyer space with seating, a grand piano, and our favorite part is the adjoining walkout verandas with their own covered outdoor seating and view of the beautiful golf course.

The George Bush Ballroom is meant as their smaller space for corporate or storage which can seat between 5-40 guests.

The Reagan Grand Ballroom is the main ballroom space that can be split into 5 separate spaces if you’re looking to enlarge or shorten the ballroom itself. The ceilings are vaulted, the dance floor is wooden, and there are so many ways to set up the space to perfectly match your wedding vision.

The East Room is on the upper floors and this space is perfect for rehearsal dinners that you can host onsite (it’s truly all-in-one with their in-house catering!). This is a space that can be used for smaller weddings as it is fully-equipped with the private bar lounge, covered veranda, fireplace, and even the Dilliard and President’s rooms that can be used for your ceremony too or additional breakout spaces as needed.

One more thing we love about this space is the restaurant “The Nest Bar and Grill” that they have on the lower level. There is plenty of outdoor seating that overlooks the golf course, the food is absolutely amazing if you like contemporary American cuisine, and it’s a great place for your guests to hang out in between the ceremony and reception if your ceremony is offsite too!

About Bolingbrook Golf Club

Bolingbrook Golf Club was developed by the Village of Bolingbrook in 2002. They wanted to provide a golf facility but the clubhouse really can speak for itself in the size and amenities. The space can really be used for any kind of event like baby showers, bridal showers, bar/bah mitzvahs, corporate parties, and most importantly - weddings.

LIV Golf Chicago has actually hosted their event here since 2024 which really goes to show how great the golf course itself is too!

Flow

You can start your day or plan your first look onsite easily with the two wedding suites on opposite sides of the building so you don’t run into each other. When you’re ready for your photos, there are SO many beautiful places on the golf course that are perfect for pictures. The couple and the photographer can use a golf cart to find some of the best spots!

Your guests will have no problem finding a parking spot as they arrive because there are over 600 parking spots. They will come in through the front lobby most likely to get situated, but if you have a wedding coordinator like us onsite we can direct them to the ceremony location. They can drop their coats at the coat check if needed and get ready to celebrate you.

We will get you lined up and down the aisle, then after you say your “I dos” we will direct your guests to the cocktail hour in the main lobby pre-function space. The bars have double-sided doors so they don’t ever have to move which means that your bar can stay open longer! Your guests can stay indoors or make their way out to the outdoor verandas as they please.

When it’s time for the reception, we will open the doors for the reception and they will find their seats, you’ll have all your formalities including a wonderful dinner from their in-house catering kitchen, and you can get on the wooden dance floor that will be set for you to have fun all night!

There is one way to round out the night that we love - you can have fireworks onsite! You can make your way to the golf course while your guests watch from the outdoor veranda and have an iconic moment for you and your guests to never forget from your wedding day.

Another alternative to the fireworks is that you can do a sparkler exit here - Chicago wedding venues don’t allow this at all and many suburb wedding venues don’t allow a sparkler exit either, so we definitely say it’s fun to do if you want something that is still somehow unique!

And if you’re looking for accommodations in the area, we recommend using hotels from their recommended vendor list like Hilton Garden Inn Bolingbrook or Residence Inn - Chicago Bolingbrook. They have a preferred list that you can use to help planning (that we are also on!), but you can choose whichever vendors you’d like.

If you’re planning your wedding in the winter, you can take advantage of the outdoor heaters for the verandas, hot chocolate stations, and of course the special discounted pricing!

The second wedding suite can be rented for an additional cost. There are so many upgrades and Bolingbrook Golf Club is super accommodating if you think of something you might want, from a late night snack to a round of golf… you really can have it all!

Pricing for Bolingbrook Golf Club Weddings

As of April 27, 2026, pricing will be dependent on the season, year, and day of the week. Our Friday wedding in August 2025 was $14,000 for 170 people including the food, beverage, ceremony, and reception rental. The ceremony fee for the Rose Garden was $1,500 which was also included. This pricing is not something that you would see at most venues that we have worked at, so you are definitely getting an amazing service for that cost. Of course the pricing will be higher as time goes on, but for that only being last year, that is not bad overall for all of the perks you get with the space.

Bolingbrook Golf Club Wedding

We love a good August wedding! The weather really threw us for a loop with having rainy clouds during the exact time frame of the expected outdoor ceremony, but overall it was a very good day. Becca and Peter had both their ceremony and reception at Bolingbrook Golf Club which made their day a breeze as far as planning goes. Bolingbrook Golf Club has so much to offer for a banquet hall and we definitely love being there! Our team was there to provide day-of coordination and we are glad to have been a part of such a beautiful day!

This wedding was classic and elegant with some soft features like their details and their colors. We loved that even the perfume matched with their soft pinks of the wedding day!

Onsite Wedding Suite for Getting Ready

The girls got ready at the venue which was really nice and convenient so they didn’t have to do any traveling once they got started! The dresses are ready and hung and we love seeing the traditional tea ceremony dress that Becca wore to the reception later.

Becca’s dress was STUNNING - we loved how well it worked for the venue, the vibe, and the day! The lace details had that soft elegance that radiated throughout the day.

First Look with Bridesmaids and Dad

Becca did a few first looks with her family and friends and we LOVED seeing their reactions! The first one was with her bridesmaids and we love seeing the excitement!

The next first look was with Becca and her dad - the emotions were high and it was so precious! We always recommend doing first looks like this because it really is a memory that you will hold forever.

First Look on Patio at Bolingbrook Golf Club

Of course the best first look is last with Peter - between the first look and the vows, both Becca and Peter were able to enjoy each other’s company finally for their wedding day. Private vows are also so nice because you don’t have to worry about how it will sound for all of your family and friends and can really have them personal just for the two of you!

We had some great looking folks for their wedding party - the classic, black tuxes and the soft, pink dresses really brought their vision together so well!

The girls had the same color dress, but were able to pick the style that suits them best. We always appreciate this so that everyone can feel comfortable on the wedding day!

The couple’s photos were so precious - we love the time that couples get together when they do a first look to really bring down the nerves and get to maximize the time that you spend together!

Indoor Wedding Ceremony at Bolingbrook Golf Club

The ceremony was planned to be outside originally, but with the looming presence of clouds and rain, the couple decided to move it inside to eliminate some back and forth about whether or not it was going to work. It still looked lovely with the decor in the space though as you can see! They also were able to put up some partition walls to avoid spoiling the whole reception space for later.

Even with the first look, Peter and Becca both had an emotional response when Becca came down the aisle. We always tell our couples that the first look doesn’t take away from the moment you are about to get married!! We always advocate for a first look unless that is non-negotiable.

Some of our favorite photos of the day are when you come back down the aisle after just being married - they always are so full of excitement and love, and these definitely are some of the best photos of the day!

Sunset Photos on Golf Course

After the wedding party and family photos were over after the ceremony, Becca and Peter went and took some golden hour photos that are BEAUTIFUL! We are thankful that there was enough time throughout the wedding day that had no rain that really allowed for some lovely photos, and Mary Rose Photography did an amazing job capturing their love!

The sun was setting and the clouds were coming, but that allowed for some cool variety in their photos with the lighting and the colors. We love the candy-cane lighting with the pinks and blues in the sky!

Wedding Reception at Bolingbrook Golf Club

The reception was absolutely stunning - the elegance really shined through! Becca and Peter did a room reveal so they got the first glimpse of the amazing space with the marquee letters of their new shared last name!

We love a good cake cutting to really show you off as a couple - we definitely love the love and it is so sweet!!

The dessert table was truly amazing - it was so long with so many gorgeous and tasty options! We love having a dessert station with a cake so everyone has something they will love.

Becca and Peter had some beautiful, emotional speeches that really were fun to listen to. The emotions were definitely high for everyone throughout the day and there were so many tears shed about how lovely this couple is!

First Dance on the Clouds and with Cold Sparklers

For their first dance, they had so many surprises that everyone went crazy for! The marquee letters, the dancing on a cloud, and the sparklers from the DJ were truly incredible and something to remember.

You usually only get a few goes with the cold sparklers, so we love this shot with everyone on the dance floor because it really is a spectacular show of the moments you share with your closest family and friends.

Sparkler Exit at Wedding Reception

Another favorite shot of ours is the sparkler exit if you have the opportunity to do them - we usually help a lot with making sure no one catches on fire and that everyone has a lit sparkler, and it makes for AMAZING photos! We love everything about these shots at the end of the night.
